So, let me guess, you've got a cute little dog and you really, really love it but there's one tiny problem...it's the most disobedient little terror you've ever come across?
Ok, maybe that's not exactly the situation you're in but I'm guessing that it's pretty similar, I mean, if you're searching for this information then you must be in a situation that is in some way similar to that, well, whatever your situation, you've come to the right place.
I am going to tell you what I believe to be the first three steps you need to take in order to train your disobedient dog into one that obey's everything you say and is just all round a much nicer dog.
The three steps are:
1) Recognise the problem - You must recognise what your problem(s) are before you can actually do anything about it, these might be things like the dog doesn't listen to you, it chews through your things, it runs dirt into the house or anything else that you do not want to happen, you must take notice of the problems and make a list of them, otherwise you can not do anything about solving them.
2) Find out why you have the above problems - This might be a little more difficult than the first step but basically all it requires you to do is do a little research and try to find out why your dog is doing each specific thing on your list of problems, you can do this research by using the internet, using a dog training guide, using a library, asking someone who is knowledgeable in this area or whatever way is most suitable for you. Now, this is not absolutely vital to do but it can be helpful.
3) Take the neccessary action - That's it, this is the reason most people fail at not only training their dog but everything else too, they just don't take action to do things. Find out what you need to do to train your dog and simply do it, that's the only way it is going to happen and things will get better, if you sit around not doing anything or hoping for some sort of miracle cure then, I'm sorry, but things just won't work out for you.
Take action right now and you can enjoy the company of a nice, well mannered dog quicker than you could imagine, don't wait for something to happen, only you can do it and all you need to do is tell yourself, right now, you are going to do it and then get started.
